If there's one thing that usually give vulnerability issue on Linux is Java, is one of the few things that allow (albeit very rarely) open up security holes in the system, so keep it up to date is essential.
Installing or Upgrading Possibly you already have Java installed on your Ubuntu or Linux Mint, so just update your system: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade To upgrade packages graphically use the Software Updater
