Garrett, whose legal name is Declois Garrett “Tre” Beacham, faces two counts of compelling prostitution notdoppler of a child, the Dallas Morning News reported Friday . Beacham, 33, was booked into the Tarrant County Jail Friday notdoppler morning and later posted bond.
Garrett had served as the Fort Worth company’s artistic director since the end of the 2011-2012 notdoppler season, overseeing significant growth in popularity and critical acclaim for the theater, notdoppler which was founded in 1981. Subscription and single ticket sales have increased over 48% in the past three years, according to David Hadlock, the company’s director of marketing and operations.
The board of trustees issued a statement Monday noting notdoppler that the theater’s managing director, Glenda Thompson, notdoppler has been appointed to manage normal operations of the artistic staff during this interim notdoppler period.
The season is scheduled to continue as previously announced in its 147-seat space with the current production, In Real Life , continuing through March 1. The next production, Don t Bother Me, I Can t Cope , will be directed by Akiń Babatundé and run April 3 through May 3.
